Summer Trippin': Where to go and what to do from coast to coast

Le Petit Marché

c'est magnifique!

Ever since her visit to Paris, your roommate can’t stop yapping about baguettes and fromage. (Bitch.)

Bring home some bacon of your own after a stop at Le Petit Marché. The new Kirkwood “little market,” conceived during the owner’s travels in Provence and Paris, is a traditional Provençal market for the big city.

Marché stocks imports (like Oliviers & Co. balsamic vinegars) along with top local fare (like Decatur’s PotatoFinger chips and Just Add Honey teas). Root the truffle cooler for Kristen Hard’s K Chocolat delights; a global sandwich menu of Cuban pastrami and Chinese chicken salad sandwiches; and open-air coolers stocked with artisan cheeses, salami, and pesto. Go weekends for fresh-baked bread, chef-hosted tastings, and cooking demos.

Try laying that on your roomie. No doubt she’ll oui oui her pants.
