Go with the Dough

When Pigs Fly Bread Company

pigs are flyin'!

Sure, you are what you eat. But just because you throw down French rolls like it’s your job, no one has the right to call you crusty.

Hold onto your bread knife, Butter. A new shop called When Pigs Fly Sourdough Breads opened this weekend in Davis Square. They use all-natural ingredients to produce more than twenty varieties of artisan breads on site.

Inside their fifth shop, the Maine-based biz will bake everything fresh daily — from rich, savory kalamata olive and roasted red pepper loaves to sweeties like mango and pineapple slices with toasted sesame and ginger. They’ve also got toppings, such as homemade pumpkin butter and raspberry peach preserves, so you can mix and match your favorite flavors.

That’s what we call a slice of life.
