Towel Off

PataPri Kitchen Towels

Score a juicy piece of dirt, and you can’t wait to dish it out.

But making dirty dishes come clean (the funk? from the kitchen sink? it’s gross) is an entirely different story.

Distract yourself from the agony of washing up with PataPri kitchen towels. Made of 100 percent linen, each towel is designed, hand-screened, and hand-sewn by hometown graphic artist Yuko Uemura.

Inspired by simple shapes and colors, Uemura’s patterns are very ’70s: golden apples, baby chicks, and kitty cats. If you find one you like, snag it fast. Uemura prints in small batches, so once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The bright, charming towels are so distracting you might forget you’re wrist-deep in suds and grime until the very last pan.

And by then, it’ll be too late to throw in the towel.
