The Ruffle Queen

Mabel Handbags

it's in the bag!

At 5, you wanted to be a firefighter. By 10, an Olympic gymnast. In college, you majored in Sri Lankan mysticism, then went on to law school.

Finding your passion doesn’t come easy.

Unless you’re Jessica Miller-Webster. While attending Syracuse, she realized just how much she loved purses. A few months later, Mabel Handbags was born.

Nicknamed the Ruffle Queen by her friends, the native Chicagoan handcrafts bags that are equal parts adorable and functional.

They’re made from materials like gray paisley corduroy and cotton canvas and are lined in a contrasting pattern. Many have (you guessed it) ruffles. If extra trim isn’t your thing, snatch the Wendy tote, a dark denim slouchy number, or the cheeky Beetle Juicy messenger with black and white striped straps.

Each piece is one of a kind and ready to be carried.

Wherever life may take you.
