Irv & Shelly’s Fresh Picks

get fresh!

Things you don’t want showing up on your doorstep: the fuzz, your ex, a flaming paper bag.

Things you do: Irv & Shelly’s Fresh Picks. The family-run business sources fruit, veggies, meat, and dairy from nearly 80 Midwest farms and delivers them to your pad.

Unlike with farm shares, there’s no membership fee; just place one-time or continuing orders online and pay as you go. Choices (eggplant from Indiana’s Green Acres Farm, kale from Wisconsin’s Harmony Valley, blueberries from Michigan’s Mick Klug Farms, goat cheese from Illinois’s Prairie Fruits Farm) change regularly and come with storage tips and recipes.

Indecisive? Try the Fresh Picks Box of the Week. Like a greatest hits of groceries, it’s stocked with an assortment of ripe, in-season produce and can be customized to your needs.

That should ring your (door)bell.

Available online at freshpicks.com.
