Sustainable Living with Melissa Graham

Self-indulgent as you are, Twitter ain’t your thang.

Tweet yourself — and do some good — by enlisting the help of professional chef and cooking instructor Melissa Graham, Green City Market membership chair and founder of Monogramme Events & Catering.

During A Sustainable Evening, Graham cooks five seasonal, local courses for up to ten guests. Spring tastes included sweet pea ravioli and rhubarb brulee; for summer, expect heirloom tomato, watermelon, feta, and mint salad. Throughout, she teaches how to shop for sustainable seafood (befriend your fishmonger), compost at home (NatureMill’s nonworm composter), and save energy (cut oven preheating times).

Sustainability 101 includes a cooking demo (seared tilapia with blood orange salsa) and a discussion. She can even navigate your group through a farmers market, teach how to stock a sustainable kitchen, and get kids to start eating green.

Go ahead. Follow her.

Correction: Eep! Tickets for Around the World in 80 Sips are $10 off, as opposed to just $10. Our sincerest apologies. (Forgive us?)
