Too Cool for Pool

The Golden State Boutique Opens

You found nothing to see in the Show Me State. And all you got from Garden State was tired of The Shins.

Home is where your heart is, and Stephanie Addis knows the feeling. The Poolside owner has revamped and restocked her boutique, which you may now call The Golden State.

Lacquered walls, redwood shelving, and vintage pottery brimming with oranges and lemons spruce up the scenery. Pool party goods still represent, but new housewares, clothing, and accessories come from artists and designers based anywhere from San Francisco to Laguna to Solana Beach.

Channel iconic beach babes with Rebecca Norman jewelery, SurfMonk sweats, and Vivier clutches. Or go for something a little more Joan Didion with refurbished vintage furniture, ’70s-era art books, and Luna Garcia ceramics.

Either way, it’s a lovely state of affairs.
