The Weekend Guide

What to Do This Weekend

smellin' real good!

Good thing we gain an hour.

SPRAY
Wode Scent Paint
What:
Fashion label Boudicca unleashes perfume graffiti meant to be sprayed aggressively (not spritzed). Cobalt color disappears without a trace in moments — leaving behind the scents of tuberose and clary sage.
Why: Smells like Halloween high jinks.
When: Get it on day one — today.
Where: Project No. 8, 138 Division St., b/t Orchard & Ludlow Sts. (212-925-5599). Map It

Rodney McMillian’s Untitled Show
What:
Cormac McCarthy’s postapocalyptic The Road was the jumping-off point for this sacred chapel-like installation.
Why: A battered landscape more frightening than a haunted house (because it could be real).
When: Thru Dec. 20. Opens Thurs., 6-8 p.m. Special performance at 7 p.m.
Where: The Kitchen, 512 W. 19th St., b/t Tenth & Eleventh Aves. (212-255-5793). Map It

GIVE
DailyCandy’s Virtual Food Drive
What:
The going’s tough for just about everyone right now. But children are the hardest hit during an economic crisis.
Why: One in five NYC kids rely on emergency food. (And most of their parents are working full-time!)
When: Thru Dec. 31. (But folks are hungry all year.)
Where: Donate online at help.foodbanknyc.org.

Red Book Drive
What:
A good read (by teen essayists) with an even better mission: To get into the hands of young girls around the world. Send a book to charities like the LES Girls Club.
Why: Look out for the NYC paperback tour. Share the book and raise awareness.
When: Today’s the day.
Where: Online at redthebook.com.

LEARN
History of Candy

What: Let me see that Tootsie Roll. Wax Lips, Red Hots, and more from the Roaring ’20s to the future. Tastings included.
Why: Learn something on your Kit Kat break.
When: Thurs., noon-1 p.m.
Where: 92YTribeca, 200 Hudson St., at Canal St. Map It

EAT
James
Does Brunch
What:
Sweet corner eatery starts working on your day off.
Why: Malpeque oysters with Bloody Mary sauce, pulled pork with cheddar scones, ricotta pancakes with stone fruit syrup.
When: Every Sun., 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Where: 605 Carlton Ave., at St. Mark’s Ave., Prospect Heights (718-942-4255). Map It
