Mother, Mayo?
Taylor Gourmet Deli/Market Opens

French expats pine for real croissants. New Yorkers bitch about a decent slice. And Texans think y’all have never tasted barbecue.
But Philly-philes simply take refuge at Taylor Gourmet.
The deli/market, opening tomorrow, was started by two Philadelphia natives who couldn’t find a decent hoagie. They’ve overcompensated with more than two dozen sandwiches (named, fittingly, after Philly streets) piled high with house-roasted meats. Not to mention old-school Italian specialties (risotto balls, chicken cutlets) from family and personal recipes.
The shop — a stylized blend of rustic reclaimed wood and industrial galvanized iron — stocks Italian groceries, affordable wine and microbrews, and deli meats and cheeses.
Best of all, it offers a large delivery radius within D.C.
Think of it as a gift of brotherly love.
